Campus Safety
In life-threatening emergencies, or when you need immediate police, fire, or medical assistance, make the following TWO calls: 911 and 303-871-3000 (1-3000).
The University has a network of emergency phones are easily recognizable and are located throughout campus. They can be used at any time to report crimes or suspicious activity. The Department of Campus Safety is staffed 24 hours a day year-round by trained professionals employed to serve the University community.
Campus Safety also focuses on crime prevention through programs like bicycle registration and classes such as the Rape Aggression Defense (R.A.D.) course, a women-only self-defense class.
Safety Escort After Dark
If you are needing to go somewhere on campus after dark and do not have someone to walk with you, you can contact Campus Safety 303-871-2334 to request an escort.
Emergency Notifications
The Office of Emergency Preparedness and Fire Safety maintains an Emergency Notification System capable of pushing out emergency messages to everyone affiliated with the University of Denver in a very short period of time. The notifications can be received via email, telephone or text message.
