International Student Orientation
International Student and Scholar Services is excited to welcome you to the University of Denver!
International Student orientation gives you the space and time you need to begin getting acquainted with Denver, DU, and life as a student here. The orientation process is designed to help smooth the transition into a new living and learning situation.
All incoming students will be required to complete the online ISSS Orientation on Canvas. Students will be registered for the Canvas course after the I-20/DS-2019 issued. The Canvas course is designed to be completed before your arrival at DU; however, you are allowed to complete it once you have arrived on campus. Please see the Canvas course homepage for the deadline to complete the course (usually a couple of weeks after the start of classes). If you do not complete the Canvas course by the deadline, ISSS will place a registration hold on your account that will remain until you complete the course and email isss@du.edu that you have done so.
In addition to the required ISSS Orientation on Canvas, we are excited to offer an in-person orientation. The in-person orientation will allow new students to review the material from the Canvas course, meet other students and ISSS staff, as well as have any remaining questions answered! We hope you can join us!

Immigration Check In
Students who are new to the University of Denver will need to complete the Immigration Check In. NOTE that this process cannot be completed until AFTER you arrive in the United States.
You can access the instructions and submit the request through the ISSS Portal. Once logged in, go to the Control Center tab and click on the Check-In request.
You will need to login in with your DU ID (87xxxxxxx) and password. The login credentials are the same ones that you use when you check your DU email or access MyDU.
